Indian Summer (2026)
Indian Summer is a companion to Coastal Memory, not a continuation of it. The black-and-white series stays as it is. This is the same coast, held in color.
I returned to Palos Verdes through the summer — July, August, September — and then to Heisler Park and Echo Park in October, walking the same headlands and watching the light change. The color here is muted, the way I remember it: pale skies, dry grass, turquoise water on a bright morning, a purple flower close to the ground, a lighthouse in warm late light.
These are quiet frames, made slowly on 35mm film. I am interested in what color remembers, and what it lets go of — a place, a season, a walk, held just long enough to feel like a memory.
35mm film, archival pigment print. Available in various sizes up to 36" wide.
